Solid Surface is known for it's seamless design and anti-microbial qualities .
Solid Surface materials are manmade of acrylic and/or polyester depending on the brand. With endless color and pattern options, solid surface can be used in many applications where hard surfaces may not be as compatible. This is a big reason solid surface materials are often used in hospitals and physicians offices, as they are inherently anti-microbial. These materials can be fabricated so seams essentially disappear with no grout lines to clean. Sinks can be seamed into the surface to become an "integral" part of the countertop with no areas to collect dirt. The basic product is 1/2" thick and can easily be made to appear any thickness. Many can be bent to create different shapes and is a great product for shower walls.
